That a certain document which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hayti, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Building Code, 2006 Edition, specifically including Appendix Chapters C (Group U Agricultural Buildings), E (Supplementary Accessibility Requirements), F (Rodentproofing), G (Flood Resistant Construction), H (Signs), I (Patio Covers), J (Grading) and K (ICC Electrical Code) (see International Building Code Section 101.2.1, 2006 Edition), as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Building Code of the City of Hayti in the State of Missouri for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; by providing standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupancy and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use and the demolition of such structures as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Building Code on file in the offices of the City of Hayti are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 500.011 of this Code.

That a certain document which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hayti, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Residential Code, 2006 Edition, including Appendix Chapters A, B, C, D, E, G, H, I, J, K, N, and Q, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Residential Code of the City of Hayti in the State of Missouri for regulating and governing the construction, alteration, movement, enlargement, replacement, repair, equipment, location, removal and demolition of detached one- and two-family dwellings and multiple single-family dwellings (townhouses) not more than three (3) stories in height with separate means of egress as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Residential Code on file in the office of the City Clerk of Hayti are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 500.013 of this Code.

The National Electric Code, 1999 Edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, which is on file in the City offices, be and is hereby adopted as the Electric Code of the City of Hayti; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said National Electric Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this Section.

That a certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hayti, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Fire Code, 2006 Edition, (See International Fire Code Section 101.2.1, 2006 Edition), as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code of the City of Hayti in the State of Missouri regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Fire Code on file in the offices of the City of Hayti are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 500.022 of this Code.

That a certain document which is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Hayti, Missouri, being marked and designated as the International Private Sewage Disposal Code, 2006 Edition, including Appendix Chapters A & B as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Private Sewage Disposal Code of the City of Hayti in the State of Missouri for regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of individual sewage disposal systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and the collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said Private Sewage Disposal Code on file in the office of the City of Hayti are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this Section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in Section 500.026 of this Code.

That the following Sections are hereby revised as follows:

Any person violating the provisions of this Chapter or any Code requirement adopted in this Chapter shall be deemed guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not to exceed five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be confined in the County jail for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days, or both such fine and confinement. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable as such hereunder.
