In order to facilitate the collection of City licenses due the
City of Hayti, Pemiscot County, Missouri, as provided by ordinance
on the several businesses, occupations, trades and professions, it
is hereby made the duty of the legally qualified and acting City Marshal
of the City of Hayti, Pemiscot County, Missouri, as follows:
Between the first (1st) and fifteenth (15th) day of January,
between the first (1st) and fifteenth (15th) day of April, between
the first (1st) and fifteenth (15th) day of July and between the first
(1st) and fifteenth (15th) day of October of each and every year the
duly qualified and acting City Marshal shall make a personal survey
of all business places within the corporate limits of the City of
Hayti, Pemiscot County, Missouri, listing such information.
Owner of place of business
Kind and kinds of business conducted in place of business.
One to whom statement of licenses shall be mailed.

The City of Hayti shall furnish said City Marshal necessary
form on which to obtain said survey of said business places in said
City of Hayti, Pemiscot County, Missouri.

Between the fifteenth (15th) and twentieth (20th) of each month
as hereinbefore stipulated, the City Marshal shall deliver to the
City Collector the original of said business survey and a carbon copy
thereof to the Clerk of said City.

It is hereby provided that should the duly qualified and acting
City Marshal fail or refuse or neglect to make such business survey
as herein provided on the dates herein stipulated or either of them,
then in that event the Board of Aldermen shall employ some suitable
person to make such survey and charge the cost thereof to the account
of said City Marshal and shall deduct the amount thereof from any
sum or sums due him/her as such City Marshal.

Any person violating the provisions of this Article shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. The Mayor shall also have the right
to revoke any license held by such person, firm or corporation so
convicted.
