The Township Solicitor shall be responsible to Council and shall account to Council as the Administration Committee shall determine. The Solicitor's duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
(a) 
Commencement or prosecution of legal actions brought by the Township.
(b) 
Defense of legal actions brought against the Township, its agents, employees or members of Council arising out of their official duties.
(c) 
Preparation of contracts and other legal documents to which the Township is a party.
(d) 
Preparation (or approval) of such bonds, obligations, contracts, leases, conveyances, ordinances, resolutions and assurances to which the Township may be a party.
(e) 
Attendance and legal guidance at Council meetings.
(f) 
Furnishing to Council or any one member of Council, when required, his or her opinion, in writing, upon any question of law which may be submitted by any of them in their official capacities.
