A. The
City of Berkeley, Missouri, is hereby divided into five (5) wards
and the boundary lines of the wards are as follows:
1. Ward I. Beginning from the point of intersection
of the centerline of Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way (100
ft. W) and the existing most eastern City limit line of Berkeley common
with the City limit line of Ferguson, being also the east line of
Sections 3 and 10, Township 46 North, Range 6 East; thence northwardly
along said existing east City limit to the northern City limit line
of Berkeley; thence westwardly along the northern City limit of Berkeley,
being the south line of Block 40 of Burke City Subdivision, to the
east line of Frostwood Subdivision, Plat 5; thence northwardly along
the City limit line, being also the said east line of Frostwood Subdivision
Plat 5 to the north line of Township 46 North, Range 6 East; thence
westwardly along the City limit line, the said north line to the centerline
of Berkridge Court extended, being also the northern property line
between Lot 10 and Lot 11 of Berkridge Court Subdivision; thence southwardly
along the centerline of Berkridge (40 ft. W) Court to the centerline
of Frost (40 ft. W) Avenue; thence eastwardly along said centerline
of Frost Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Bitteroot
(50 ft. W) Lane; thence southwardly along said centerline of Bitteroot
Lane to its intersection with Pepperidge (50 ft. W) Drive; thence
southeastwardly and westwardly along said centerline of Pepperidge
Drive to its intersection with January (60 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwestwardly
along said centerline of January Avenue to its intersection with the
centerline of Evergreen (60 ft. W) Boulevard; thence southwardly along
the said centerline of Evergreen Boulevard to its intersection with
the aforesaid centerline of Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way;
thence southeastwardly along said centerline of Norfolk and Southern
Railroad right-of-way to the point of beginning.
2. Ward II. Beginning from the point of intersection
of the centerline of Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way (100
ft. W) and the existing most eastern City limit line of Berkeley common
with the City limit line of Ferguson; thence southwardly along said
east City limit line of Berkeley, being also the east line of Sections
3 and 10, Township 46 North, Range 6 East to a south City limit line
of Berkeley, being also the north line of Courtney (40 ft. W) Street
and the north City limit line of Kinloch; thence westwardly along
said south City limit line of Berkeley to the centerline of Jefferson
(40 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwardly along said centerline of Jefferson
Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of Wabash (50 ft. W)
Avenue; thence along the said centerline of Wabash Avenue to its intersection
with the centerline of Washington (45 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwardly
along said centerline of Washington Avenue extended, being also the
line between Lot 55 and Lot 56, Block 2 Kinloch Park Subdivision,
to its intersection with the centerline of the Norfolk and Southern
Railroad right-of-way; thence southeastwardly along said centerline
of Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way to the point of beginning.
3.
Ward III. Beginning from the point of intersection
of Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way and the centerline of
Washington Avenue extended, thence westwardly along said centerline
of Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way to its intersection
with the centerline of Evergreen (80 ft. W) Boulevard; thence northwardly
along said centerline of Evergreen Boulevard to its intersection with
the centerline of January (60 ft. W) Avenue; thence southeasterly
along said centerline of January Avenue to its intersection with the
centerline of Pepperidge (50 ft. W) Drive; thence eastwardly and northeastwardly
along the said centerline of Pepperidge Drive to its intersection
with the centerline of Bitteroot (50 ft. W) Lane; thence northwardly
along said centerline of Bitteroot Lane to its intersection with the
centerline of Frost (40 ft. W) Avenue; thence westwardly along said
centerline of Frost Avenue to its intersection with the centerline
of Berkridge (50 ft. W) Court; thence northwardly along said centerline
of Berkridge Court and its direct northwardly prolongation, being
the property line between Lot 10 and Lot 11 of Berkridge Court Subdivision
to the north City limit line of Berkeley; thence westwardly along
the said north City limit line, to the right-of-way line of Hazelwood
(80 ft. W) Boulevard, thence northwestwardly along the Berkeley City
limit line, being also along the said west right-of-way line of Hazelwood
Boulevard, to the north line of Lot No. 2 of the Barney Hanley's
Estates Subdivision, recorded in Plat Book No. 3, Page 4, St. Louis
County Recorder's Office; thence westwardly along the northernmost
City limit line, being the said north line of Lot No. 2 of the Barney
Hanley's Estates Subdivision, and a prolongation along the north
line of Lot No. 3 of the Barney Hanley's Estate, to the point
of intersection with the northerly prolongation of the west line of
Lot No. 9 of Hazelwood Farm, being also on the eastern line of the
City of Hazelwood; thence southwardly along the west City limit line,
the said prolongation and said west line of Lot No. 9 to the centerline
of Latty Avenue; thence eastwardly along the City limit line, being
also the said centerline of Latty Avenue to a point being 340.88 feet
distant east of the west line of Lot 12 of said Hazelwood Farm Subdivision;
thence southwardly along the said City limit line being 340.88 feet
perpendicularly distant east of and parallel to the said west line
of Lot 12 of Hazelwood Farm Subdivision to the south line of said
Lot 12 of Hazelwood Farm Subdivision; thence eastwardly along the
City limit line, being the south line of Lot 12 of Hazelwood Farm
Subdivision to the east line of Lot 24 (west line of Lot 23) of Hazelwood
Farm Subdivision; thence southwardly along the west City limit line
of said Lot 24 of Hazelwood Farm Subdivision to its intersection with
the north line of Township 46 North, Range 6 East; thence westwardly
along the City limit line, the said north line of Township 46 North,
Range 6 East to the west line of Lot 27 of the Hazelwood Farm Subdivision;
thence southwardly along the west City limit line, being also the
west line of Lot 27 of Hazelwood Farm Subdivision to the centerline
of Norfolk Southern Railroad right-of-way; thence eastwardly along
the centerline of the Norfolk Southern Railroad right-of-way to its
intersection with the centerline of Hancock (40 ft. W) Avenue; thence
southwardly along the said centerline of Hancock Avenue to its intersection
with the centerline of Airport Road; thence along said centerline
of Airport Road to its intersection with the centerline of Jefferson
(40 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwardly along said centerline of Jefferson
Avenue to its intersection with Wabash (50 ft. W) Avenue; thence westwardly
along the said centerline of Wabash Avenue to its intersection with
the centerline of Washington (45 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwardly
along the direct northward extension of the said centerline of Washington
Avenue to the Point of Beginning.

Ward IV. Beginning at the intersection of the
centerline of the Norfolk and Southern Railroad right-of-way and the
western line of James S. McDonnell Boulevard; thence southeastwardly
and southwardly along the western line of James S. McDonnell Boulevard,
being also the western City limit line of Berkeley; thence southwardly
along the western City limit line to the northern line of Natural
Bridge Road; thence southeastwardly along the northern line of Natural
Bridge Road to the south line of Bridgedale Plat No. 2 Subdivision,
being also the south City limit line; thence eastwardly along the
City limit line, the said easterly prolongation of the southernmost
line of Bridgedale Plat No. 2 Subdivision, Part of Survey No. 2476,
recorded in Ordinance No. 462 of the City of Berkeley and Bridgedale
Subdivision recorded in City Ordinance No. 372, a point being also
on the west right-of-way line of Interstate Highway 70; thence southeastwardly
along the City limit line, the said southwest line of U.S. Survey
3082 to the north line of Normandy School District, being also the
centerline of Weldon (15 ft. W) Avenue; thence eastwardly along the
prolongation of Weldon Avenue to the east line of U.S. Survey 3082,
the east line of Ramona Forest Subdivision and the east line of James
Evans Place Subdivision, amended to the south line of Kinloch School
District, being also the north line of Normandy School District; thence
northwestwardly along the City limit line, being also the centerline
of Hern (50 ft. W) Drive, to the north line of U.S. Survey 3082; thence
southwestwardly along the City limit line to the east line of Bangert
Place Subdivision recorded in Plat Book 24, Page 41 in the St. Louis
County Recorder's Office Missouri; thence northwardly to the
north line of the St. Louis Belt and Terminal (100 ft. W) right-of-way;
thence southwestwardly along the City limit line, the said north line
of the St. Louis Belt and Terminal right-of-way, to the south right-of-way
line of Martin Luther King (50 ft. W) Road; thence northwardly and
westwardly along the south right-of-way line of Martin Luther Road
to the centerline of North Hanley Road; thence northwestwardly along
the City limit line, the said centerline of North Hanley Road, to
the north right-of-way line of Scudder (50 ft. W) Avenue; thence eastwardly
to the east right-of-way line of Hancock (40 ft. W) Avenue; thence
northwardly along the City limit line, the said east right-of-way
line of Hancock Avenue, to the north right-of-way line of Fifth (40
ft. W) Avenue; thence eastwardly to the west right-of-way line of
Washington (45 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwardly along the City limit
line, the said west right-of-way line of Washington Avenue to the
north right-of-way line of Short (40 ft. W) Street; thence eastwardly
along the south right-of-way line of Short Street to its intersection
with the centerline of Jefferson (40 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwardly
along the centerline of Jefferson Avenue to its intersection with
the centerline of Airport Road; thence westwardly along the centerline
of Airport Road to its intersection with the centerline of the Hancock
(40 ft. W) Avenue; thence northwardly along the said centerline of
Hancock Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of the Norfolk
and Southern Railroad right-of-way; thence westwardly along said centerline

5. Ward V. Beginning with the intersection of the north
right-of-way line of Natural Bridge Road with the direct northwardly
prolongation of the west right-of-way line of Brenton (40 ft. W) Avenue;
thence southwardly along the west City limit line, being also the
said west right-of-way line of Brenton Avenue to the point of intersection
with a perpendicular line to Brenton Avenue from the southwest property
corner of Lot 1, Block 11 of Eleanor Park No. 2 Subdivision; thence
eastwardly along the City limit line, the said perpendicular line
to Brenton Avenue to the east right-of-way line of said Brenton Avenue,
a point being the southwest property corner of Lot 1, Block 11 of
said Eleanor Park No. 2 Subdivision; thence southwardly along the
west City limit line, the said east right-of-way line of Brenton Avenue
to the north line of U.S. Survey No. 49; thence southwardly along
the west City limit line, the said east right-of-way line of Brenton
Avenue and its southwardly prolongation, said line being also parallel
with the west lines of U.S. Survey Nos. 48 and 49, to the south line
of U.S. Survey No. 48, being also the south line of aforementioned
Eleanor Park No. 2 Subdivision; thence eastwardly along the southernmost
City limit line, the said south line of U.S. Survey No. 48, being
also the lines at fifteen (15) feet parallel distance with the south
line of Lower Ladue Hills Subdivision and twenty-five (25) feet parallel
distance with the south line of Lower Ladue Hills Addition Subdivision,
to the east line of the forty (40) foot wide strip of land along the
east of said Lower Ladue Hills Subdivision, recorded in Book 480,
Page 451 in the St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence northwardly
along the City limit line, being also the said east line of the forty
(40) foot wide strip of land to the south line of Lot 2, being along
the north lines of Lot 3 and 4, of Hy Volkman Estate Partition, to
the east line of U.S. Survey 48; thence southwardly along the City
limit line, the said east line of U.S. Survey 48 to the south line
of Bridgedale Plat No. 2 Subdivision, Part of U.S. Survey 2476, recorded
in Ordinance No. 462 of the City of Berkeley, being also the boundary
line of Normandy School District; thence eastwardly along the south
City limit line to the intersection with the north right-of-way line
of Natural Bridge Road; thence westwardly along the north right-of-way
line of Natural Bridge Road to the point of beginning.
