Whenever any ordinance of the City designates any one-way street or alley, the City Traffic Engineer shall place and maintain signs giving notice thereof, and no such regulation shall be effective unless such signs are in place. Signs indicating the direction of lawful traffic movement shall be placed at every intersection where movement of traffic in the opposite direction is prohibited.

Upon those streets and parts of streets and in those alleys described and designated by ordinance, vehicular traffic shall move only in the indicated direction when signs indicating the direction of traffic are erected and maintained at every intersection where movement in the opposite direction is prohibited.

A. 
The City Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized to determine and designate streets, parts of streets or specific lanes thereon upon which vehicular traffic shall proceed in one (1) direction during one (1) period and the opposite direction during another period of the day and shall place and maintain appropriate markings, signs, barriers or other devices to give notice thereof. The City Traffic Engineer may erect signs temporarily designating lanes to be used by traffic moving in a particular direction, regardless of the centerline of the roadway.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any vehicle in violation of such markings, signs, barriers or other devices so placed in accordance with this Section.

A. 
In accordance with Section 315.010 of the Ordinances of the City of Pierce City and as set forth in Section 315.010, RSMo., and all subsequent and applicable Statutes of the State of Missouri, all motor vehicles, and all other vehicles, including bicycles, carts and wagons, driven, operated or propelled on, over and along certain designated streets in the City, shall be driven, operated or propelled between the intersections of Walnut Street and Ball Park Road in a westerly direction only.
B. 
An exception is made and traffic control signs shall designate that local traffic may travel in an easterly direction between Walnut Street and Ball Park Road so long as the motor vehicle is being stopped at a residence located on the alley or on Ball Park Road.
C. 
Vehicles traveling in an easterly direction between Walnut Street and Ball Park Road to stop at a residence, including residents, any person or persons visiting residents or any person or persons delivering goods or services to a residence located on the alley or on Ball Park Road, shall be defined as "local traffic." Local traffic shall not include vehicles traveling to the Athletic Park on Ball Park Road.
D. 
Traffic control signs shall designate that all one-way traffic going in a westerly direction shall yield to all local traffic.
E. 
Any person who violates the provisions of this Section shall be guilty of an ordinance violation subject to the penalties imposed by the Municipal Court as authorized by Missouri Statute.
