No person shall park any vehicle upon a street, other than an
alley, in such a manner or under such conditions as to leave available
less than ten (10) feet of the width of the roadway for free movement
of vehicular traffic.

No person shall park a vehicle within an alley in such a manner
or under such conditions as to leave available less than ten (10)
feet of the width of the roadway for the free movement of vehicular
traffic, and no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle within
an alley in such position as to block the driveway entrance to any
abutting property.

The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to erect signs upon
the left-hand side of any one-way street to prohibit the standing
or parking of vehicles, and when such signs are in place, no person
shall stand or park a vehicle upon such left-hand side in violation
of any such sign.

In the event a highway includes two (2) or more separate roadways
and traffic is restricted to one (1) direction upon any such roadway,
no person shall stand or park a vehicle upon the left-hand side of
such one-way roadway unless signs are erected to permit such standing
or parking. The City Traffic Engineer is authorized to determine when
standing or parking may be permitted upon the left-hand side of any
such one-way roadway and to erect signs giving notice thereof.

A. No
semi-trailer trucks or the tractor (cab) thereof, while parked in
any residential area of the City of Pierce City, Missouri, shall be
allowed to be kept running for a continuous period of more than sixty
(60) minutes during the hours of 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M.
B. No
semi-trailer truck shall be permitted to be parked within thirty (30)
feet of any intersection.
C. Any
semi-trailer truck which is parked along the streets of the City of
Pierce City for the purpose of having any maintenance done on said
vehicle must be parked on the shoulder of said street and no part
of the semi-trailer truck may be located on or extend over the traveled
portion of any street within the City during said maintenance or at
any time.
D. No
semi-trailer truck shall be allowed in residential areas of the City,
unless making deliveries to a location in said residential area, or
if the driver, owner or lessee of the semi-trailer truck resides in
the residential area of the City, then the unit may be driven through
the residential area and may be parked in the residential area; however,
said semi-truck trailer shall not exceed thirty-five thousand (35,000)
pounds.
E. It
shall be the responsibility of any person parking any semi-trailer
truck within the City limits of Pierce City, Missouri, to keep the
area around said vehicle clean and free of any trash or storage containers,
parts or other materials used in the servicing or maintenance of said
vehicles.
F. A "semi-trailer
truck" is defined as the combination of a tractor (cab) unit and one
(1) or more semi-trailers to carry freight. A semi-trailer attaches
to the tractor with a type of hitch called a fifth wheel. Semi-trailer
trucks are also known as "semi-trailers," "semi-trucks," "truck and
trailer," "semi," "big rig," "tractor-trailer," or "eighteen-wheeler"
and the trailers may be refrigerated or not refrigerated.
G. A violation of this Section is punishable up to a five hundred dollar ($500.00) fine pursuant to the authority and penalties as laid forth in Section
100.220 of the Pierce City Code.
