For the purpose of this Article, the following words and phrases
shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this Section.
GARAGE SALE
A sale of goods for profit offered to the public conducted
at a single-family, a dual family or a multi-family residential dwelling
place. Non-profit organizations may hold a garage sale at a commercial
building according to the terms of this Article.
GOODS
Any goods, wares, merchandise, articles or other personal
property capable of being the object of a sale regulated by this Article.

It shall be unlawful to conduct more than six (6) garages sales
at the same location within any calendar year. The two (2) City wide
garage sales shall not count against this limitation of six (6) sales.

Any person proposing to conduct a garage sale must notify City
Hall and obtain a permit. The permit shall name the place of the sale,
the dates of sale and the name, address and telephone number of the
persons responsible for the sale.

It shall be unlawful to conduct a garage sale for longer than
three (3) days.

All merchandise shall be removed and the area comprising the
sale location shall be completely cleaned up after the sale and any
signs that were posted advertising the sale must be taken down.

No goods offered for sale at a garage sale shall be displayed
on any public street or right-of-way.
