A Park and Recreation Board for the City of Camdenton shall
be appointed by the Mayor of the City subject to confirmation by a
majority vote of the Aldermen.

The Park and Recreation Board shall consist of eleven (11) members
as follows: At least one (1) but no more than two (2) members of the
Board of Aldermen with the rest of the committee being comprised of
citizen members.

The members of the Board shall serve for a term of five (5)
years or until their successors are appointed and qualified.

The members of the Board first appointed shall be appointed
for such terms that the terms of not more than two (2) of the members
shall expire annually thereafter.

Any vacancy on the Board shall be filled for the unexpired term
in the same manner as an original appointment.

Members of the Board shall serve without pay.
Within fifteen (15) days after their appointment, the Park and
Recreation Board shall meet to establish a regular quarterly meeting
date and thereafter shall meet quarterly.

Within fifteen (15) days after their appointment, the Park and
Recreation Board shall meet and elect one (1) of its members as Chairman
and one (1) as Vice Chairman. The Chairman of the Board shall preside
over the meetings. The City Clerk or a person designated by the City
Clerk shall be the recording secretary and shall keep a record of
all actions taken at the meeting. A copy of the minutes of every meeting
shall be public record.

Subject to the approval of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen,
the Board shall adopt and promulgate the rules and regulations for
the conduct, administration and management of the public recreational
system and shall further assist, advise and direct as deemed necessary
the activities of any citizens groups or others in the promotion of
the public recreational system.
