The Board of Supervisors of Leacock Township does hereby signify its interest and desire to organize and create an authority under the provisions of the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382,[1] as amended, with its purpose being to construct, acquire, hold, improve, maintain, operate and own facilities for the collection, transportation and treatment of sewage or other waste material or substances; and to own, sell, lease or otherwise manage all properties, assets and activities useful in relation thereto. Further, said Authority shall have the power to do, perform and undertake all rights and privileges provided or authorized by any local, state or federal ordinance, regulation, edict, order or otherwise.

The name of the authority shall be the Leacock Township Municipal Authority.
The Chairman, Secretary and any other Supervisor acting in the place and stead of either shall execute and file the Articles of Incorporation with the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and they shall do and perform all other acts necessary to accomplish the incorporation of said Authority.
The Articles of Incorporation shall include, among other matters, the following:
A. 
That the name of this Authority is Leacock Township Municipal Authority.
B. 
That no other Authority has been organized under said Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, Act of May 2, 1945, P.L. 382,[1] as amended, nor under the Act of June 28, 1935, P.L. 463, as amended.
