The head of the Information Technology
Department shall be the Chief Technology Officer. The Chief Technology
Officer shall be responsible for directing and managing the development,
deployment, and support of information technology services provided
to City departments. He or she shall maintain effective communication
between the City's information technology service groups so as to
maximize operating efficiencies and provide highly effective information
technology services. The Chief Technology Officer shall be the appointing
authority for employees of the Information Technology Department.
