There is hereby created in and for the City a board to be known as the "Building Standards Board".

The Building Standards Board shall be composed of seven (7) members who shall be residents of the City.

The members of the Building Standards Board shall be appointed as described in Section 125.010 of this Code, and shall hold office for terms of three (3) years each or until their successors are appointed and qualified.

The Building Standards Board shall make and determine its own rules of procedure including the time and place of all meetings.

The Building Standards Board shall hold and conduct all hearings relative to the mandatory demolition or repair and maintenance of buildings and structures required by the Housing Code of the City.

Upon proper notice being given by the Building Inspector, the Building Standards Board shall hear all evidence and, by a majority vote of said Board, determine by a written finding of fact whether or not the structure in question is a dangerous building and a public nuisance within the meaning of the terms of the City's Housing Code.
