A. 
The Treasurer shall receive and safely keep all monies, warrants, books, bonds and obligations entrusted to his/her care and shall pay over all monies, bonds or other obligations of the City on warrants or orders duly drawn, passed or ordered by the Board of Aldermen and signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk and having the Seal of the City affixed thereto and not otherwise and shall perform such other duties as may be required of him/her by ordinance. Before entering upon the duties of his/her office, he/she shall give bond as set out herein.

At the option of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the City may require him/her to post a bond in the sum of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) for the faithful performance of his/her duties, bond to be borne by the City.
2. 
The Treasurer and Mayor shall jointly open a bank account in the name of the City of Crystal Lake Park in an approved banking facility as defined by State Statues.
