A. 
Contractors who perform indoor air quality inspections, fungal investigations, fungal sampling for fungal amplification (mold growth) and increased fungal activity shall not be the same contractors performing fungal remediation caused by water damage or other moisture-related issues.
B. 
Any contractors performing fungal inspections and/or indoor air quality inspections for increased fungal activity caused by high relative humidity or water intrusion, including but not limited to fungal air/surface sampling, shall have the proper certifications as listed below:

Accepted certifications.

ACAC certifications.

Council-certified Indoor Environmental Consultant (CIEC).

A. 
When taking air samples, contractors must take a sample outdoors or in a noncomplaint area to be used as a control/comparison sample.
B. 
Air sampling shall be conducted in a method that insures a sufficient evaluation of the area in question.
Contractors performing remediation activities shall conduct those activities in a manner which insures public safety.
