A. 
Every person who shall use, burn, explode or set off any firecracker, torpedo, bomb, rocket, pinwheel, fire balloon, roman candle or any other firecracker or fireworks within the City limits of the City of Hallsville shall be deemed guilty of an infraction, except as provided in Subsections (B) and (C) hereunder. Any person convicted of violating this Article shall be fined in an amount not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200).
B. 
The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to issue permits for special fireworks displays to be held at such places as, in the opinion of the Chief of Police, shall provide maximum safety for all persons concerned, and under direct supervision and control of such persons; the provisions of Subsection (A), above, shall not apply to such authorized events for which said permits have been lawfully issued.
C. 
Subsection (A), above, shall not be construed to prohibit the discharging of fireworks in a safe and orderly fashion between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 P.M. for a one-week period commencing June 28 of each year and ending 11:00 P.M. on July 4 of each year.

A. 
At all times other than on July 4 of each year between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 P.M., it shall be unlawful for any person to discharge, shoot, ignite or set off any fireworks that are propelled or shot into the air upon discharge or ignition, including bottle rockets or any other types or kinds of rocket.
B. 
At all times other than on July 4 of each year between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 P.M., it shall be unlawful for any person to discharge, shoot, ignite or set off any fireworks which, upon discharge or ignition, propel into the air any combustible or noncombustible projectile or other object.
C. 
Violation of this Section shall be an ordinance offense punishable by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00) nor more than two hundred dollars ($200.00), imprisonment in the County Jail not to exceed fifteen (15) days, or by both fine and imprisonment.
