There is hereby created the office of Fire Chief of the City
of Tipton, Missouri, who shall be head of the Fire Department.

The Chief of the City of Tipton Fire Department is hereby authorized
to enter into a Mutual Assistance Agreement with the Fire Departments
of other Cities and rural areas in the Tipton area, to provide firefighting
assistance each to the other in time of need.

Prior to the Chief executing any mutual aid agreement as herein
authorized, he/she shall first submit the written agreement to the
Board of Alderpersons of the City of Tipton, Missouri, for its review
and approval.

It shall be unlawful for anyone who is not a member of the Volunteer
Fire Department of the City of Tipton, Missouri, to use, operate or
ride upon the fire engine and apparatus of the City of Tipton, Missouri.

A. There
is hereby created the office of Training Officer for the Fire Department
for the City of Tipton, Missouri.
B. In
order to be qualified to hold the office of Training Officer for the
Fire Department, a person must be at least twenty-one (21) years of
age, a resident of Missouri at least one (1) year, and a resident
of the City of Tipton a period of at least six (6) months prior to
the appointment.
C. The
Training Officer for the Fire Department shall be appointed by the
Mayor with the advice and consent of the Board of Aldermen. The term
of office shall be for a period of one (1) year. The Mayor, with consent
of a majority of the Board of Aldermen, shall have the authority to
dismiss the Training Officer for the Fire Department for cause.
D. The
duties for the Training Officer for the Fire Department shall be as
outlined in the SOP for the Fire Department.
