There is hereby created and established the office of Public
Works Director for the City of Foristell, Missouri.

A qualified person shall be appointed Public Works Director
for the City of Foristell by the Mayor; such appointment shall be
approved by a majority of the Board of Aldermen and such person shall
serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.

The Public Works Director shall receive such compensation as
may be determined by ordinance from time to time by the Board of Aldermen.

A. The
Public Works Director shall have the following duties:
1. The Public Works Director shall plan, direct, evaluate, improve,
schedule and supervise construction, maintenance, and operation of
streets, public rights-of-way, mowing, water facilities, and sewer
facilities.
2. The Public Works Director shall inspect construction, maintenance,
and operation of streets, water and sewer facilities.
3. The Public Works Director shall revise and maintain accurate City
maps and field notes of streets, water distribution systems and sewer
facilities.
4. The Public Works Director shall coordinate Street, Water and Sewer
Department activities with City Engineer and other contracting agencies.
5. The Public Works Director shall provide pertinent information to
contractors, developers and the general public with reference to utility
locations and related project information.
6. The Public Works Director shall prepare various progress and other
reports on public work activities to be submitted to City Administrator.
7. The Public Works Director shall prepare and implement a departmental
budget to be submitted to the City Administrator.
8. The Public Works Director shall make recommendations to the City
Administrator as to manpower needed.
9. In addition to the foregoing duties, the Public Works Director shall
perform any and all other duties and functions prescribed by the City
Administrator, or the Mayor and Board of Aldermen not inconsistent
with State Statutes or City ordinances.
