The Planning Commission of the Borough of Darby shall consist of five members.

Appointments to the said Commission shall be for a term of four years, except for initial appointments under this chapter and except for replacement of anyone whose term by initial appointment was less than four years. Appointments shall be so arranged that terms on the said Commission shall expire as follows:
A. 
One term shall expire in 1976.
B. 
Two terms shall expire in 1977.
C. 
One term shall expire in 1978.
D. 
One term shall expire in 1979.
The powers and duties of the Planning Commission shall be such as are given to it by Act No. 247, approved July 31, 1968,[1] and its amendments and supplements, and by any other statute or statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and by any ordinances adopted by the Borough of Darby, provided that the said ordinances are enacted in accordance with the foregoing statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
