A. 
The map titled "Drug Free Zones, Borough of Norwood" prepared by Daniel C. Kaufman, Borough Engineer, is approved and adopted as an official finding and record of the location and areas in the Borough of properties that are used for school purposes and that are owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school on school land and of the areas on or within 1,000 feet of school property.
B. 
The areas designated on the map referred to in Subsection A will apply for the purposes of N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7, which prohibits drug offenses within 1,000 feet of schools, and P.L. 1999, Chapter 185, which prohibits drunk driving and other offenses within 1,000 feet of school property.
In accordance with P.L. 1999, Chapter 185, the following is a list of designated school crossings in the Borough of Norwood:
Blanch Avenue and Summit Street
Blanch Avenue and Tappan Road
Broad Street and Blanch Avenue
Broadway and Broad Street
Broadway and Summit Street
Hudson Avenue and Tappan Road
Kensington Avenue and Tappan Road
South Street and Livingston Street
South Street and Summit Street
Summit Street at Norwood Public School
Tappan Road and VerValen Street
Villa Court and Tappan Road
Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:35-7.1, the map titled "Drug Free Zones, Borough of Norwood," last revised March 10, 1993, and prepared by Joseph Neglia, Borough Engineer, is approved as the official finding and location of drug-free zones in the Borough of Norwood pursuant to the provisions of the above-referenced statutes.
The map approved and adopted pursuant to this chapter will continue to constitute an official finding and record as to the location and boundaries of areas on or within 500 feet of parks and public buildings and 1,000 feet of property owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school or school board that is used for school purposes until such time, if any, that this chapter will be amended to reflect any additions or deletions with respect to the location and boundaries of these properties and zones. The list of school crossings will continue to constitute an official finding and record of the location of school crossing zones within the Borough until such time, if any, that this chapter will be amended to reflect any additions or deletions with respect to school crossing zones in the Borough.
The school board, or the chief administrative officer of any private or parochial school, is directed and will have the continuing obligation to promptly notify the Borough Clerk of any changes in, or contemplated changes in, the location and boundaries of any property owned by or leased to any elementary or secondary school or school board and that is used for school purposes or of any additions or deletions to school crossings.
The Borough Clerk is hereby directed to receive and to keep on file the original of the maps approved and adopted pursuant to this chapter and the list of school crossings, and to provide at a reasonable cost a true copy thereof to any person, agency, or court that may from time to time request a copy, along with a certification that the copy is a true copy of the map or list approved and adopted herein and kept on file. True copies of this chapter and the approved maps and lists will be provided without cost to the Bergen County Clerk and to the office of the Bergen County Prosecutor.
The map and school crossings list approved and adopted pursuant to this chapter were prepared and are intended to be used as evidence in prosecutions arising under the criminal and traffic laws of this state, and that, pursuant to state law, the maps and list will constitute prima facie evidence of the following:
A. 
The location of elementary and secondary schools within the municipality.
B. 
The boundaries of the real property that is owned by or leased to such schools or a school board.
C. 
That such school property is and continues to be used for school purposes.
D. 
The location and boundaries of areas that are on or within 1,000 feet of such school property.
E. 
The location of all school crossings in the Borough.
F. 
The location of public housing, parks and buildings.
G. 
The location and boundaries of areas that are on or within 500 feet of public housing, parks and buildings.
