There shall be a system for the assignment of street numbers which shall be in accordance with a plan or map adopted by the Mayor and Council of the borough and entitled "Numbering Map, Borough of Norwood, Bergen County, New Jersey, September 4, 1941," prepared by Elmer A. E. Blackwell, Borough Engineer.
The numbers required to be displayed by this chapter shall be Arabic numbers of such a size and so located as to be clearly visible to persons passing the building on the abutting street.
No certificate of occupancy shall be issued for any new building until the provisions of this chapter have been complied with.
The Mayor and Council shall have the power to correct any errors which may be discovered with regard to the assignment of street numbers.
Any person aggrieved by the assignment of a street number may appeal that assignment to the Mayor and Council of the borough.
