For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the meaning indicated:
PEDDLER
Any person who goes about from place to place, traveling by foot, wagon, automotive vehicle or other type of conveyance or at a roadside stand within the corporate limits of the Township selling or offering for sale any goods, wares, merchandise, services or any other personal property.
It shall be unlawful for any peddler, or any person in his behalf, to shout, cry, blow a horn, ring a bell, or use any sound device, including loud speakers or sound amplifiers, upon any of the streets, alleys, parks or other public places of the Township, or upon any private premises, for the purpose of attracting attention to any goods, wares, services or merchandise which the licensee proposes to sell.
No vehicle or other equipment shall be operated, propelled, located, or otherwise used on the public streets, sidewalks, parks or other public ways or places between the hours of sunset and sunrise, by any person licensed under this chapter.
No person shall, directly or indirectly, solicit contributions for any purpose, by misrepresentation of his name, occupation, financial condition, social condition or residence, and no persons shall make or perpetrate any other misstatement, deception, or fraud in connection with any solicitation of any contribution for any purpose in the Township.
