The City of Maysville shall not authorize or permit any water
hook-ups at a distance of more than one-half (1/2) statute mile beyond
the existing corporate City limits of the City of Maysville.

In all new water meters placed for residential and commercial
structures within the City, the new water meter shall be placed on
the outside of the structure.

A. Any person, partnership, corporation, or other entity wishing to
tap into a water main of the City of Maysville shall pay a fee of
one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) to the City Clerk when
requesting such tap-in. The City shall provide tap and set the meter
in a meter setter, and all other work involved shall be provided by
the water user.
B. The water user must supply all materials for water service hook-up,
including, but not limited to, all digging in the street. Street cuts
will cost three hundred dollars ($300.00) for half of a street cut
and six hundred dollars ($600.00) for a full street cut.
C. All work done and materials furnished by the water user must be approved
by the appropriate official of the City.
D. The following materials are required for water main tapping into
City mains:
1.
One (1) tapping saddle for each tap to be done. The tap must
be the right side for the main to be tapped. The tap must be either
brass or polyurethane coated. The tap must be three-fourths (3/4)
inch or one (1) inch tapping size.
2.
One (1) tapping corp stop valve for each tap to be made, size
three-fourths (3/4) inch to one (1) inch in size.
3.
Type K copper pipe for line from main to meter setter (or shut-off
valve) three-fourth (3/4) inch to one (1) inch in size.
4.
Meter tile eighteen (18) inches by thirty-six (36) inches, Sno
Lok plastic type or approved meter tile.
5.
Meter setter must be double purpose, shut-off valve on inlet
side and anti-backflow valve on outlet side.
6.
The top of the meter setter must be eighteen (18) inches to
twenty (20) inches below the top of the meter tile.
7.
Meter tile lid must lock.
