The Village of Manchester shall not be responsible for injury
to persons or damage to property not caused by the negligent acts
or omissions of the Village of Manchester.
Any person committing offenses against any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable as provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions, Article
I, General Penalty, of the Code of the Village of Manchester.

This chapter shall be entitled "Gateway Trail" Code of the Village of Manchester, Chapter
206, Article
II, of said Code.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the
meaning indicated unless otherwise stated:
FIREWORKS
Any combustible or explosive composition or any substance
or combination of substances or articles prepared for the purpose
of producing a visible or audible effect by combustion, explosion,
deflagration or detonation.

HANDICAP MOBILITY VEHICLE
Motorized vehicle powered by battery. Vehicle used only by
people with disabilities. Individuals with a disability and that have
been issued a NYS Department of Motor Vehicles parking permit/license
plate from their municipality may be eligible.
MOTORIZED VEHICLES
Motorized vehicles shall include but not be limited to cars,
trucks, vans, SUVs, ATVs, motorcycles, motorized scooters, minibikes,
dirt bikes, golf carts and snowmobiles.
OPEN FIRES
Any fires not contained in a permanent installed outdoor
grill or portable carry in grills in the designated areas.
WEAPONS
Deadly or dangerous weapons are as defined in § 265.00
of New York State Penal Law.
The trail is for the enjoyment of all who utilize it. It is
important to the community that all rules and regulations are observed.
A. Any person committing offenses against any provision of this chapter
and convicted shall be assessed a fine. Fines shall be a minimum of
$100 up to a maximum of $500.
B. Each violation of any of the items listed in the rules and regulations
shall be considered an offense. Multiple offenses may be cited on
the same occasion.
C. These penalties will be in addition to any other violations and associated
penalties appearing in other sections of the Village Code, as well
as county, state and federal laws.
The Village Board may from time to time amend, supplement, change,
modify and repeal this chapter pursuant to the provisions of the Village
Law and General Municipal Law applicable there to and other pertinent
New York State Laws.
