A permit must be obtained ANNUALLY (and shall be in effect from
January 1 to December 30) from the Code and Zoning Enforcement Officer
(located at 14 Clara Barton Street, during the normal business hours
Monday to Friday) before permission to post an A-frame sign or establish
a sidewalk cafe. A processing fee as set from time to time by resolution
of the Board of Trustees shall accompany each request. In addition,
a diagram of the cafe including the placement of tables, size of the
tables, number of chairs, location of the trash receptacles and planned
hours of operation must accompany each request. It should be noted
that the Code and Zoning Enforcement Officer and Chief of Police (when
appropriate) shall have final say in determining the feasibility of
each request and shall likewise offer suggestions for the improvement
of any plan and/or requirements to meet the qualifications of an acceptable
request.
