The rules, regulations and standards contained herein may be
amended, modified or repealed from time to time by the Board of Supervisors.
The following requirements shall be observed prior to making
any amendment to this chapter:
A.
Proposed amendments must be submitted to the Township Planning Commission
and the County Planning Commission for their recommendations before
any further public action is taken.
B.
The recommendations of the Township Planning Commission and County
Planning Commission shall be submitted to the Board of Supervisors
in a written report. Failure to submit such report within 30 days
shall constitute an approval.
C.
Upon receipt of the report of the Planning Commission, a public hearing
on the proposed amendment shall be held, at which time the parties
in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard. Notice
of the public hearing shall be given by publication of the place,
time and reason for the hearing in a newspaper of general circulation
in the Township at least once each week for two successive weeks prior
to the hearing. The first publication shall not be more than 30 days
and the second publication shall not be less than seven days from
the date of the hearing.
