The office of the Public Works Director
is hereby created, and it shall be the duty of the Mayor, with the
advice and consent of the Council, to appoint some suitable and competent
person to the office of Public Works Director.

The person appointed to the office
of Public Works Director shall possess a degree in engineering, public
administration, construction management or business and possess three
(3) years' experience in related public works activities.

The person appointed to the office
of Public Works Director shall take the prescribed oath required of
City Officers. He/she shall hold office until his/her successor is
appointed and qualified.

The Public Works Director shall receive
such compensation as shall be determined, from time to time.

A. The duties of the Public Works Director
shall be as provided, from time to time, by the Mayor or City Administrator.
The Public Works Director shall supervise the following positions
each of which shall report directly to him/her:
1.
Streets and Sanitation Superintendent.
2.
Water and Wastewater Superintendent.
5.
City Engineer and Assistant City
Engineer.
