This article shall be known and may be cited as the "Welsh Mountain Official Street Map Ordinance."
This article is adopted pursuant to Article IV of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, Act 247 of 1968, as amended by 53 P.S. § 10401 et seq.
The purpose of this article is to officially recognize the adoption of proposed streets, private streets or access drives in the Welsh Mountain area, to assist and guide landowners who desire to seek access to their lands within the Welsh Mountain area. The map will not only provide guidance to landowners, but also to the Board of View, in the event a private condemnation action is filed by a landowner. The area involved is more specifically shown on the Official Map attached hereto in three parts a Exhibit A and incorporated herein.[1] The three parts include Welsh Mountain, Sheep Hill Mountain and Narvon Mountain regions. This article and map have been prepared following numerous discussions among the Township Supervisors as well as reviewed by the Planning Commissions of the Township of East Earl and Lancaster County, and in accordance with the requirements of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.[2]

The map, which is attached hereto as Exhibit A,[1] is hereby adopted as the Official Map with respect to the lands and facilities shown thereon for the area depicted on the map.

The persons who own land within the area shown on the Official Map shall be subject to the duties and shall have the rights set forth in Article IV of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code.[1]

This Official Map may be amended from time to time by appropriate action of the Board of Supervisors of the Township of East Earl, taken in the accordance with the procedural requirements of Article IV of the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, as it may be hereafter amended.
