Each Supervisor of Polk Township elected or appointed to office
shall receive compensation as Supervisor in the amount of $2,500 per
annum.
Said compensation shall be paid on a calendar-year basis that
is for the period of January 1 to December 31. In the event of an
appointment that is made during the course of the year, compensation
shall be paid on a pro rata basis.
Payment of compensation hereunder shall be quarterly.
A Supervisor shall not receive any additional compensation for
attending other Township or Township-related meetings.
In accordance with Section 606 of the Second Class Township
Code, any change in salary becomes effective at the beginning
of the next six-year term of the Supervisor or successor. Until such
time as the beginning of the next six-year term, each Supervisor shall
continue to be compensated in accordance with Ordinance 4-1985, with
the exception that the maximum amount of such compensation is presently,
by statute, $2,500 per annum.
