The purpose of this article is to opt-out of the real property
tax exemption for solar and wind projects pursuant to § 487
of the Real Property Tax Law ("RPTL") of the State of New York.
The Town hereby provides that no exemption under RPTL § 487
shall be applicable with its jurisdiction with respect to any solar
or wind energy system or farm waste energy system which begins construction
subsequent to the effective date of this article.
