As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
LITTER
Any wastes, including rubbish, refuse or garbage, and including any glass, metal, paper, cartons, plastic, plant growth, wood, ashes, wire, cans, bottles or any used material.
PERSON
Any natural person, association, partnership, firm or corporation.
No person shall dump, deposit, throw or leave any litter on, along or within 150 feet of any road or highway in Salisbury Township.
No person shall drop, deposit, throw or leave any litter on, in or along any sidewalk, park or playground or other public place or upon any private property or into any stream within the Township of Salisbury.
No person within the Township of Salisbury shall sweep or deposit litter on or into any gutter, water drainageway, drainage pipe or culvert, sidewalk, street, road, park or playground or any other public place.

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate or permit the violation any provision of this chapter, upon conviction thereof in an action brought before a Magisterial District Judge in the manner provided for the enforcement of summary offenses under the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $1,000, plus costs. Each day that a violation of this chapter continues or each section of this chapter which shall be found to have been violated shall constitute a separate offense.
