The Town officers that are required by law to be chosen by ballot
shall be elected annually on the second Monday in April. The polls
shall be open for such purpose from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m.

A. The term of office of the moderator shall be three years. He shall
be elected triennially on the second Monday in April.
B. The term of office of the tree warden shall be three years. He shall
be elected triennially on the second Monday in April.
All Town officers shall receive such salary or compensation
as the Town may vote, and all fees received by any Town officer by
virtue of his office shall belong to the Town and shall be duly paid
into the Town treasury by such officer.
No officer or board of the Town shall make any contract on behalf
of the Town in which such officer or any member of such board is directly
or indirectly financially interested, unless he is the lowest bidder
on competitive bids.

The town clerk shall have custody of the town seal.
The town clerk, within seven days after a vote of the Town has
been passed which relates particularly to or affects the duties of
any board, committee or officer of the Town shall furnish a copy of
such vote to such board, committee or officer.
The town clerk shall, within seven days following any town meeting,
cause to be notified in writing each officer or each member of every
committee who may be elected or appointed at any such meeting or in
pursuance of any vote thereof. Such notice shall contain a copy of
the vote creating the committee and the names of all members of such
committee.
The town clerk shall promptly after each session of a town meeting
furnish the town accountant with a statement of all moneys appropriated
by the Town at such sessions and the purpose for which such moneys
are respectively appropriated.
The town clerk shall, not less than 90 days before the annual
meeting, notify in writing the chairman of any committee which has
not made a report to the Town since the last annual town meeting that
a report will be expected at the coming annual town meeting and the
warrant for such annual town meeting may contain an article to act
upon the report of each of such committees specifically naming them.
The town clerk shall provide and have in readiness for use at
town meetings a sufficient supply of yes and no ballots. These ballots
shall not be distinguishable from each other in size, shape, color,
paper or ink or in size and style of type.
