[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Meeting of the Town of Swansea 5-15-1989 ATM by Art. 34 (Ch. 5, Art. II, of the 1988 Revised General Bylaws). Amendments noted where applicable.]
All violations of these regulations will be subject to arrest.
Closing hours for the beach will be as designated and posted by the Recreation Commission and the Selectmen.
The Town of Swansea will not be responsible or liable for stolen property, loss of goods, or any act of vandalism to property or injury to persons.
There will be no drinking of alcoholic beverages in or out of vehicles on the beach, in the roadways or in the parking areas to include the boat launch area.
No persons shall swim within 100 yards of the boat ramp on the northerly side of the peninsula.
Rowdy groups will be asked to move or leave the area.
After the beach is closed, groups will not be allowed to congregate on the beach, in the lots or on the roadways unless authorized by the Selectmen.
Illegally parked cars or towing vehicles will be tagged and towed at the owners expense.
Pets are strictly prohibited from all beach areas.
No breaking of glass on the beach, in the parking areas, or on the roadways will be allowed. No dumping of one's personal trash in the receptacles. This does not include left over supplies from picnics. ($25 FINE)
The driving of any vehicles on the beach or other non-paved areas is strictly prohibited. ($50 FINE)
