The City Council of the City of Poplar Bluff hereby establishes
a Residential Housing Advisory Board specifically for the purpose
of promoting and protecting residential neighborhoods within the City
limits of Poplar Bluff. The Board shall receive input and suggestions
from its members for the City Administration to consider as possible
solutions to alleviate concerns and help the revitalization of the
City's residential neighborhoods. The Board shall also be an avenue
for the City and the local landlords to communicate with each other
on a regular basis concerning rental and other residential properties
within the City limits. The Board may make recommendations as to any
possible changes in ordinances, however, these suggestions or recommendations
shall be advisory in nature, and any ordinance changes shall remain
vested in the duly elected City Council.

A. The
Residential Housing Advisory Board shall consist of five (5) members
appointed by the City Council, with the original members having staggered
terms and eligible to serve three (3) three-year terms for a total
of nine (9) years.
B. One
(1) member of the Board shall be a member of the City Council; one
(1) member shall be the Poplar Bluff City Planner; one (1) member
will be a Poplar Bluff Code Enforcement Supervisor; one (1) shall
be a local realtor; and one (1) shall be from the Butler County Landowners
Association.
