Be it enacted and ordained by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Hancock, Maryland, that it shall be unlawful to consume any beverage commonly referred to and known and designated as an "alcoholic beverage" in the public parks of the said Town or in the buildings, structures, or shelters connected therewith or located thereon.
The violation of said article shall be considered a misdemeanor. A violation of this article shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $100 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 30 days, or both such fine and imprisonment, within the discretion of the court.
