Mailbox supports, including but not limited to post, brackets, platforms, or supports, shall be a minimum of four inches by four inches treated wood, or two inches diameter standard steel or aluminum pipe.
Mailboxes or face structures shall be installed or maintained within, but not closer than, nine inches to 12 inches from the edge of the street pavement or the back of the street curb where such curb exists.
Mailboxes and supporting fixtures shall not be installed within 10 feet from the point of curvature at any street intersection.
A. 
In the event of damage to a nonconforming mailbox installation due to Village snow removal efforts, no compensation will be made and the property owner will be responsible for the repair or replacement of that mailbox installation.
B. 
In the event there is damage to any mailbox which conforms to the standards above as a result of and caused by the snow removal activities conducted by the Village, the Village shall not be responsible for any cost of repair or replacement thereto in excess of $50. Any such reimbursement of cost to the owner of a damaged mailbox shall be made only upon presentation of satisfactory evidence of sales receipts for material used in such repair and replacement. All labor or cost of labor to install or reinstall said mailboxes shall be the responsibility of the owner of the mailbox.
