No person shall do any of the following things at or upon the
beaches or areas of public waterfront access of the City of South
Amboy:
A. Throw, drop or pass out any wastepaper, garbage or other refuse.
B. In any way litter, make unsightly, damage, destroy or disfigure any
beach or any area of public waterfront access.
C. Make loud noise, sound or music to the annoyance of any other person.
D. Use loud, profane or indecent language.
E. Conduct or engage in any beach party or similar outing.
F. Swim or bathe in the water at a public beach or waterfront access,
but this shall not prevent shallow wading for fishing, crabbing and
other similar activity.
G. Molest or disturb any person in the peaceful places of resort.
H. Do anything to endanger the life and safety of himself, herself or
others.
I. Dump or throw garbage or other refuse in the water at any beach or
area of public waterfront access.
J. Interfere with or obstruct any police officer in the performance
of his duties.
K. Be on a public beach before one hour before sunrise and after one
hour after sunset; however, this restriction shall not apply to persons
engaged in sport fishing.
L. Sleep in any car or motor vehicle parked in any street or park or
on any beach or public property.
M. Consume any alcoholic beverage upon any beach, street or highway,
or in any automobile or other vehicle on any street, highway or beach.
N. To change clothes, dress, undress or otherwise disrobe, except outer
wraps.
O. Engage in the peddling of food, food products, beverages, ice cream
or similar products, or confections on any beach or area of public
waterfront access.
P. Operate a motor vehicle, except municipal, state or federal vehicles.
Q. Launch or land jet skis or other such motorized boats or craft in
the beaches of the City.
R. Start or maintain fire or fires on the beach at any time.
S. Allow any animal, either owned by the person or under his or her
custody or control, to go or be at large.
T. Have a dog restrained on a leash more than six feet in length.
U. Permit his or her dog's feces to remain on City property and not
properly removing and disposing of the same.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or
any of the rules and regulations adopted hereunder shall upon conviction
thereof, be subject to a fine of not more than $500 or to imprisonment
for not more than 90 days, or both.
