A. 
The use of Allan Park and the Little League Field is to be allowed by permit only.

B. 
Permits will be issued first to applications within the highest priority classification, i.e., Priority No. 1, and proceed downward through the priorities until the lowest priority classification, i.e., Priority No. 5, is reached.
C. 
Priorities are categorized as follows:
(1) 
Priority No. 1: North Arlington recreation programs.
(2) 
Priority No. 2: North Arlington municipality programs.
(3) 
Priority No. 3: North Arlington Board of Education.
(4) 
Priority No. 4: not-for-profit organizations.
(5) 
Priority No. 5: for-profit organizations.
D. 
In the event of multiple requests within a priority classification for the same time for the same field, the Recreation Department will make every effort to work with applicants to mutually resolve conflicting requests.
E. 
In the event that conflicting requests within a priority classification cannot be mutually resolved, the Recreation Department will award time slots based upon a lottery.
F. 
After the allocation of field and recreational facility time slots, any remaining open time slots will be available for permitting on a first-come-first-served basis.
G. 
The decisions of the Recreation Department shall be final.
A. 
Field applications will continue to be accepted after the two-week submission period, set forth below, as nonpriority submissions and permits will be issued based on field/space availability at the time of submission. Applications together with two checks, as set forth in § 256-22 below, may be submitted in person, by mail or overnight delivery to:

All applications must be received by 4:00 p.m. on the last date applications are accepted for the spring, summer and fall seasons as follows:

Please allow at least two weeks after the end of the submission period to receive any approval of dates.
The North Arlington Recreation Department will notify applicants via email of the status of their application within 30 days after the close of an application period.
A. 
Payment is to be made with two separate checks payable to Borough of North Arlington at the time of permit application submission as follows:
(1) 
Permit fee of $150 per time slot.
(2) 
Security deposit of $150.
B. 
Fees are based on a three-hour time slot. Fees are waived for Borough of North Arlington and North Arlington Board of Education sponsored programs.
A. 
After notification of an approval for a permit, but prior to issuance of a permit, an applicant must file its certificate of insurance ("COI") and a hold harmless agreement with the Recreation Commission. If the COI and hold harmless agreement are not provided within two weeks after notification of approval of a permit for a time slot, said approval will be cancelled.
B. 
The COI must show a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate general liability and $10,000/person medical expense. If athletic participants are excluded from the general liability policy, then the Borough requires student accident insurance covering the athletic participants for a minimum of $10,000/person.
C. 
The Borough of North Arlington and its officials, employees and agents must be named as additional insured and the Borough of North Arlington shown as certificate holder.
D. 
Applicant must provide proof that all participants are covered under the applicable insurance plan.
E. 
This sections shall not apply to Borough of North Arlington and North Arlington Board of Education sponsored programs.
A. 
All permits are subject to the Borough of North Arlington rules and regulations. In particular, please note the following:
(1) 
Permit holder is prohibited from performing maintenance on fields.
(2) 
Equipment which may cause damage to the fields is prohibited.
(3) 
Glass containers and/or bottles are prohibited.
(4) 
Metal spikes are prohibited on artificial turf fields.
(5) 
Teams must clean up trash in the dugout and the field areas prior to the end of the permitted time slot.
(6) 
In the event field lining is required, chalk or other temporary materials are allowed. Paint cannot be used.
B. 
Failure to comply with these rules and regulations may result in the revocation of the permit and/or forfeiture of the security deposit. Repeated failures may also result in additional fees being assessed.
