Upon notification from the Town, a utility company with overhead lines and facilities within the Town's Historic District shall relocate all such lines and facilities underground. The utility company shall be required to pay half of the net capital costs of such underground relocation.
If utility lines are being relocated pursuant to § 151-1 above, the owner of any premises or land that is receiving service from the relocated lines and facilities shall place any connections to such lines and facilities underground. The estimate cost to the property owner for such connection work performed on the owner's property shall be determined and made available to each affected property owner. The Town shall provide financing to the affected property owners for these costs.

A. 
There shall be 57 designated and marked parking spaces within the Historic District to be used exclusively for permit parking.
B. 
Parking permits with decals shall be issued by the Town of Chesapeake City to the residents within the Historic District as provided herein.
C. 
A maximum of two parking permits with decals shall be issued per residence within the Historic District to residents.
D. 
Residents shall present a separate valid Maryland driver's license with a Historic District address for the issuance of each parking permit. Should a resident need an exception to the Maryland driver's license requirement, at least two items from the following list shall be provided:
(1) 
Deed listing resident's name as owner of property.
(2) 
Mortgage billing statement listing resident's name as responsible payer.
(3) 
Lease listing resident's name as responsible payer.
(4) 
Utility billing statement listing resident's name as responsible payer.
(5) 
Mail from a federal or state government agency addressed to resident by name.
(6) 
Vehicle registration with Historic District address.
E. 
Parking decals shall be affixed and displayed on the upper corner of the windshield on the driver's side of the vehicle.
The fee for the issuance of a parking permit shall be $50 each year. The fee for senior citizens who are age 65 or older and residents that do not have alley or street access to off-street parking shall be $20. Partial years shall be prorated on a monthly basis.
A. 
Any violation of this article shall be a municipal infraction and a citation/ticket may be issued in an amount of up to $100. The Town shall be authorized to forward notice of the unpaid citation/ticket to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration for a flag to be placed on the registration of the vehicle so cited.

B. 
The Mayor and Council may amend the amount of the fine for violations of this article by resolution.
Parking permits shall not be transferable.
