In accordance with the terms of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-135, there is
hereby created and established the position of Deputy Borough Clerk.
The Deputy Borough Clerk may possess a Registered Municipal Clerks
license issued by the New Jersey Division of Local Government Services.
This position is to report to and take direction from the Borough
Administrator.
The Deputy Borough Clerk, during the absence or disability of
the Borough Clerk shall have all the powers of the Borough Clerk and
shall perform the functions and duties of such office. In addition,
the Deputy Borough Clerk shall perform duties as delegated by the
Borough Administrator.
The Deputy Borough Clerk shall be paid a salary at a range to
be established from time to time by the governing body of the Borough
of River Edge.
