Every initial application for a short-term rental permit shall require
documentation indicating that the property has been inspected for
compliance with the Borough's Fire Safety, Property Maintenance
and Housing Codes within the past six months. Thereafter, upon renewal,
the applicant must present documentation that the property has been
inspected for compliance with said codes within the past three years.
Each application is subject to review to verify the short-term rental's
eligibility for use as a short-term rental and compliance with the
regulations in this chapter. In addition, the Borough reserves the
right to inspect a short-term rental for compliance with the Fire
Safety, Property Maintenance and Housing Codes, regardless of the
status of the short-term rental permit application, if the Borough
receives information that there may be a violation on the premises.
