There is established a subdivision review committee, referred
to hereafter in this chapter as the committee.

The committee shall consist of:
1. A chairperson,
who shall be appointed by the Board of Supervisors upon the recommendation
of the County Executive.
A. The
chairperson shall not be appointed from the ranks of employees, officers
or planning commissioners of the County.
B. The
chairperson shall serve for a two-year term.
C. The
chairperson shall be compensated in the same manner as commissioners
attending meetings of the planning commission.
2. A representative
of the Planning Department, who shall be ex officio the secretary
and clerk of the committee.
3. One
representative each from the Public Works Department and Health Department.
A. Departmental
representatives and appropriate alternates shall be appointed by the
County Executive upon recommendation of the department head.
4. A representative
of the Parks and Recreation Department or a park district.
A. The
Parks and Recreation Representative shall be an employee of the Parks
and Recreation Department, an employee of a park district, or a member
of a park district board, the County tree task force coordinator,
or such other person as designated by the Board of Supervisors.
B. The
Parks and Recreation Representative and appropriate alternates shall
be appointed by the Board of Supervisors upon recommendation of the
County Director of Parks and Recreation.
5. A safety
representative;
A. The
safety representative shall be an employee of the Sheriff's office
or a fire marshal from a fire district within Sacramento County.
B. The
safety representative and appropriate alternates shall be appointed
by the Board of Supervisors upon recommendations of the Sheriff and
Sacramento County Fire Chiefs Association.
6. Committee
members, except the chairperson as indicated above, shall not receive
additional compensation for serving on the committee.

It shall be the duty of the committee, in addition to other
requirements provided in this Code, the Zoning Code of Sacramento
County, or ordinances of the County, to:
A. Provide
technical advice regarding any matter referred to it by the County
Planning Commission, including examination and review of tentative
maps, preliminary maps, street dedication maps, reversions to acreage,
abandonments of easements and dedications;
B. Act
as advisory agency as provided in this Code;
C. Conduct
proceedings regarding violations of Title 22 of this Code and the
State Subdivision Map Act and approve notices of violations and certificates
of compliance as provided in Title 22;
D. Conduct
public hearings on environmental impact reports as provided by current
guidelines adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
