There is hereby created and established under and by virtue of the authority given by N.J.S.A. 2B:12-1 et seq. and any amendments thereto or supplements thereof, a court in and for the Borough of Shrewsbury, to be known as Municipal Court of Shrewsbury Borough, with all the jurisdiction, functions, powers and duties provided by said law and by any amendments thereof or supplements thereto, and with any and all jurisdiction, functions, powers and duties which may hereafter be conferred upon it under any laws or statutes relating thereto. The Municipal Judge shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council, for a term of three years from the date of his appointment and until his successor is appointed and qualified. The salary of the Municipal Judge shall be as set forth in the annual Salary Resolution.[1] The salary of the Municipal Judge shall be paid in the same manner as the salaries of other municipal officers are paid, and shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and any other allowances whatsoever.

A Municipal Court Administrator shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. He shall hold office for a term of one year. The Municipal Court Administrator shall receive an annual salary to be determined by the Mayor and Council, which shall be paid in the manner as the salaries of other municipal officers are paid, and which shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and other allowances whatsoever. He shall perform such functions and duties as shall be prescribed for him by the law, the court rules applicable to municipal courts and the Judge of the Municipal Court.

A Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Council. He shall hold office for a term of one year. The Deputy Municipal Court Administrator shall receive an annual salary to be determined by the Mayor and Council, which shall be paid in the manner as the salaries of other municipal officers are paid, and which shall be in lieu of all fees, costs and other allowances whatsoever. He shall perform such functions and duties as shall be prescribed for him by the law, the court rules applicable to municipal courts, the Court Administrator and the Judge of the Municipal Court.
