There shall be a Department of Inspections,
the head of which shall be the Building Inspector and the deputy shall
be the Plumbing Inspector. The Building Inspector and the Plumbing
Inspector shall have the qualifications as set forth in the existing
ordinances of the Township of Saddle Brook.[1] Each Inspector shall receive such compensation as may
be fixed by ordinance. The Plumbing Inspector, in addition to the
duties established by ordinance, shall also perform the duties of
the Radiant Heat Inspector and Oil Burner Inspector. Both the Building
Inspector and the Plumbing Inspector shall perform the duties as set
forth in existing ordinances in the Township of Saddle Brook.
Within the Department of Inspections there shall
be a Division of Inspection. Under the supervision and direction of
the Director, the Division shall enforce the Township Building Code,
Housing Code, Plumbing Code and Zoning Ordinance.[1] It shall also issue building permits and occupancy permits.
