It shall be unlawful for any person to post
or attach or to permit or suffer to be posted or attached in any way
or manner any advertising material, any campaign literature, posters,
pictures or other writings to any tree, post, pole, trestle, traffic
sign, traffic signal, wall, fence, building or other structure in
the Township of Saddle Brook. Nothing herein contained shall be construed
to prohibit the posting of such literature, posters, advertising matter,
pictures or other writings on private property with the express consent
of the owner thereof, provided that the person obtaining or responsible
for obtaining such consent shall be responsible for the removal of
such advertising material within 10 days after the election or other
event advertised.
It shall be unlawful for any person to stencil,
draw, write or print or to permit or suffer to be drawn, written or
printed upon the streets or sidewalks of the Township of Saddle Brook
any advertising matter, slogans, mottoes, names or symbols, whether
the same be written with chalk, paint or any other substance. Nothing
herein contained shall be construed to prevent properly authorized
persons from making the legal and necessary traffic control marks,
lines, words or symbols on the streets and sidewalks of the Township
of Saddle Brook.
Any person found guilty of violating this chapter
or any part thereof shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $200
or imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding 10 days,
or both. Each such violation shall constitute a separate offense and
shall be punishable as such.
