A. Whenever two inches of snow have fallen and accumulation is such
that it covers the street or highway, no vehicle shall be parked on
either side of any street or part thereof within the Township.
B. The above parking prohibition shall remain in effect until the streets
have been plowed sufficiently and to the extent that parking will
not interfere with the normal flow of traffic. It shall be unnecessary
during a snow emergency for the Police Department to post EMERGENCY
NO PARKING signs.
C. Any person, firm or corporation, and its agents, servants or employees, violating any provision of this article shall, upon conviction thereof, pay a fine of $50. Each day a violation exists constitutes a separate and distinct offense. This specific provision of §
196-25 is not governed by §
196-4 for fines and penalties.
Any unoccupied vehicle parked or standing in
violation of this article shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace
to the safe and proper regulation of traffic, and any peace officer
may provide for the removal of such vehicle. The owner shall pay the
reasonable costs of the removal and storage which may result from
such removal, before regaining possession of the vehicle.
The effectiveness of this article is contingent
upon signs being erected as required by law.
