As of the effective date hereof, the positions
of Clerk of the Justice Court of the Town of Monroe and Deputy Town
Clerk of the Justice Court of the Town of Monroe, as provided under
Civil Service Law § 41, Subdivision 1(d), shall be in the
exempt class of civil service.
The Deputy shall be empowered hereby to act
generally for and place of the Court Clerk.
This law shall not apply to the Clerk of each
elected Town of Monroe Justice already in the exempt class of civil
service.
This law is subject to a change in the rules
of the Orange County Commissioner of Personnel, the local civil service
commission, reflecting the exempt status of said positions all as
designated by and in the manner provided by §§ 41 and
20 of the New York State Civil Service Law.
This law shall be effective upon the adoption
of a rule by the Orange County Commissioner of Personnel reflecting
the exempt status of said position and thereupon shall be retroactive
to the commencement date of the term of employment of any such staff
personnel.
