A.
West Chester Borough and West Bradford Township desire
to jointly apply for a Section 902 of Act 101 recycling grant for
recycling equipment.
B.
West Chester Borough and West Bradford Township intend
to coordinate equipment specifications and undertake joint bidding
and purchasing of recycling equipment under the grant.
C.
While each municipality intends to operate its program
individually, a mutual aid agreement shall be established whereby
during periods of declared emergency or mechanical breakdowns that
equipment purchased under the grant may be utilized as needed in either
jurisdiction.
Each municipality shall be responsible for its
proportionate share of costs associated with the grant, its own equipment
and any necessary administration.
A.
The Municipal Manager of each municipality, or his
designee, shall be authorized to sign any and all documents consistent
with the terms of this article, following motion of the body of elected
officials.
B.
The Public Works Directors of each municipality shall
coordinate the equipment bidding and determine the specifications
of the mutual aid agreement.
