No person, firm or corporation shall sell, offer for sale, hold in possession
with intent to sell, exchange or deliver any milk or cream in the Town of
Georgetown unless such milk or cream is certified, according to MGL C. 180,
§§ 20 to 25, inclusive, or pasteurized as provided by state
laws. This rule shall not apply to milk intended to be delivered for the purpose
of pasteurization. No milk offered for sale shall be pasteurized more than
once.
Any violation of the provisions of this Article shall be punishable,
upon conviction, by a fine as provided in MGL C. 111, § 31.
The Georgetown Board of Health shall each year designate one of its
members as Milk Inspector per MGL C. 94, § 40. Said Inspector shall
be responsible for the issuance of milk licenses to establishments in the
Town of Georgetown involved in the retail sale of milk per MGL C. 94, §§ 40,
41, 41A and 42. Such licenses shall remain in force until June 1 following,
unless previously suspended or revoked.
A fee as established from time to time by the Board of Health shall
accompany each application for a milk license and shall be turned over to
the Town Treasurer for use of the town.
Any violation of the provisions of this Article shall be punishable,
upon conviction, by a fine as provided in MGL C. 111, § 31.
