A. 
The Mayor shall receive the sum of $500 per month, except that, for any of the four quarters of the fiscal year, starting July 1, during which the Mayor:
(1) 
Fails to attend three meetings of the Mayor and Town Council, the Mayor shall receive no compensation for the first month immediately following such quarter; or
(2) 
Fails to attend six meetings of the Mayor and Town Council, the Mayor shall receive no compensation for the first two months immediately following the end of such quarter.
B. 
The increase in compensation is effective starting July 1, 2017.

A. 
Each member of the Council shall receive the sum of $250 per month, except that, for any of the four quarters of the fiscal year, starting July 1, during which a Council member:
(1) 
Fails to attend three meetings of the Mayor and Town Council, the Council member shall receive no compensation for the first month immediately following such quarter; or
(2) 
Fails to attend six meetings of the Mayor and Town Council, the Council member shall receive no compensation for the first two months immediately following such quarter.
B. 
The increase in compensation is effective starting July 1, 2017.

The compensation provided herein shall apply to officials whether elected to a full four-year term or to the unexpired portion of a term of office resulting from a vacancy.
