It is the purpose of the Legislature of Putnam
County to provide an orderly procedure for the employees and department
heads to follow with regard to the historical designation of County-owned
property.
Except for employees of the Putnam County Legislature,
no employee or department head of Putnam County may submit an application
for the historical designation of any County-owned property to the
Putnam County Legislature without the approval of the County Executive.
No application for the historical designation
of any County-owned property shall be submitted to any federal, state
or not-for-profit agency without the prior approval of the Putnam
County Legislature.
