The provisions of this article imposing a time
limit on parking shall not relieve any person of the duty to observe
other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the
stopping, standing or parking of vehicles as set forth in N.J.S.A.
39:4-138 any other New Jersey statute or as hereinafter provided.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule I (§
288-31) attached to and made a part of this chapter.

No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule II (§
288-32) of any day, except Sundays and public holidays, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II attached to and made a part of this chapter.

No person shall park a vehicle on those streets described in Schedule IIA (§
288-32.1) between the hours specified in Schedule IIA (§
288-32.1) of any day, except Sundays and public holidays, except where a parking permit issued by the Township Clerk is prominently displayed through the windshield of the vehicle so as to allow the parking permit number to be clearly read from outside of the vehicle. A parking placard for residential streets shall only be issued to a resident of a restricted street, for use in front of or immediately adjacent to the property of the resident.

A. No person shall park any bus, minibus, tractor, trailer of any type,
including, by way of illustration but not of limitation, trailers
for boats, personal watercraft, garden maintenance equipment, motorcycle
trailers and containers or equipment as well as cabs and all trucks
having a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of more than five tons,
on any street or right-of-way within the Township of Brick between
the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. As used in this section, GVWR
is the weight of an "unaltered vehicle." If the vehicle is altered
at all after manufacturing, it will be judged by all alterations,
size and type, from the cab back.

B. No person shall leave, park, abandon, or otherwise allow or cause
to have any bus, cab or truck having a GVWR of more than five tons
to be located on any residential lot at any time.

C. No person shall leave, park, abandon, or otherwise allow or cause
to be parked on any private residential property or Township street
immediately adjacent to said property more than two commercially registered
vehicles at any time.
D. No person shall store, leave, or otherwise allow for recreational
vehicles or trailers of any type to occupy any residential real property
in any of the following circumstances (for the purpose of this section
only, "recreational vehicle" shall include, but is not limited to,
the following: motor homes, motorcycle trailers, boats, jet skis,
ATCs and ATVs):

(1) When the placement of the recreational vehicle or trailer obstructs vehicular vision or otherwise impedes or impairs the safe flow of traffic. Placement of recreational vehicles or trailers may not constitute an "obstruction of vision" within the sight triangle at any joining of two streets as defined in the Code at §
245-22 as the triangular area formed by intersecting street lines and a line joining points each 30 feet distant from said intersection along said street lines.
(2) The recreational vehicle or trailer is unregistered.
(3) The recreational vehicle or trailer is inoperable.
(4) The recreational vehicle or trailer is placed upon a vacant lot unless
the owner also owns and occupies a dwelling immediately adjacent thereto.
(5) The recreational vehicle or trailer does not belong to the owners
and occupants of the dwelling which is located on said property or
immediately adjacent property.
(6) When the recreational vehicle or trailer shall be permanently beached,
grounded or so enclosed or located as to become a permanent structure
on any parcel or land or real estate within the Township of Brick.
In order to be considered a "permanent structure," the recreational
vehicle or trailer shall remain beached, grounded or so enclosed or
located on a particular parcel, land or real estate within the Township
of Brick for a period of at least 12 consecutive months. All permanent
structures located within the Township require application for and
issuance of a building permit by the Construction Code Official of
the Township. Removal of the recreational vehicle or trailer for a
period of not less than one month, confirmed by a code enforcement
officer, followed by subsequent replacement, will not prevent the
operation of this provision.
E. Any watercraft, trailer or any recreational vehicle otherwise subject
to the provisions of this chapter shall be exempt from said chapter,
provided that said watercraft, trailer or recreational vehicle may
not stay parked anywhere on the same street or adjacent residential
property for any period longer than 36 hours.
F. Whenever a member of one of the building or service trades, such
as a carpenter, electrician, painter, plumber or television repairman,
etc., is engaged in loading or unloading where the parking of a service
truck during the performance by such person of his job is necessary,
said person shall be exempt from the terms of this section.
G. No person shall sell or display more than one vehicle, boat, trailer
or equipment of any kind, from any location except from his or her
residential driveway, yard or street directly in front of his or her
residence, if legally registered, unless he or she holds an auto dealer's
license issued from the Township of Brick. All dealer vehicles and
equipment will be displayed from approved auto sales lots within the
Township only.
H. No person shall park a vehicle of any type on property designated
as Civic Plaza unless such individual is a customer, vendor, employee,
patron or guest of a tenant of Civic Plaza.
I. Every person convicted of a violation of a provision of this section or any supplement thereto shall be liable for a penalty as provided in Chapter
1, §
1-15, General penalty. Every day in which this section shall be violated shall be considered a separate violation.
No person shall stop or stand a vehicle for the times specified in Schedule IV (§
288-34) of any day, except Sundays and public holidays, upon any of the streets described in Schedule IV attached to and made a part of this chapter.

No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule V (§
288-35), for the days and hours listed in said Schedule V, upon any of the streets or parts of streets or parking lots described in Schedule V attached to and made a part of this chapter.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-205 and 39:4-206, the locations described in Schedule VI (§
288-36) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as restricted parking spaces.
The locations described in Schedule VII (§
288-37) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as loading zones.
The locations described in Schedule VIII (§
288-38) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule IX (§
288-39) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as bus stops.
